It all started the day they put one on the side of my house just outside nmy bedroom wall. It’s been almost 4 weeks of waking up between 2:30 and 3:30. In most books they would call it torture. I wonder how many people don’t know that it is actually their “smart meter” that is responsible for waking them up at night.

easy, like their servants in the government, they have no consciences.
like the song says “all the news is bad again, kiss your dreams goodby”.
every day there is more depressing news that makes us think “this can’t really be happening!” but it is. we are getting screwed and like the frog in the saucepan we accept each increasing degree, the Supremes side with religious fundamentalists rather than the Constitution, millionaires refuse to agree to a modest minimum wage, deadly poisons continue to be sprayed on our food, the rich get tax breaks, workers are cut off unemployment benefits, citizens are spied on and frisked when they try to travel. and what do we Americans do? continue to vote for Democrats who sit back and pretend to disapprove while this country moves toward fascism.

When I went to meet a workman last week, a Wellington truck was at my driveway. Luckily, the former owners put up my No Smart Meter sign after we closed on the house. No one else in the neighborhood had a sign. Most people weren’t home. Most people got zapped by the Wellington truck. I talked to the guy, but didn’t know my rights, and had no numbers to call to reach neighbors who I hadn’t yet met and weren’t home. Our neighborhood in West Marin, os bordered by a Coho Salmon Spawning Creek, and thousands of acres of Open Space Conifer Forests. Clearly this is no place for a network of smart meters. What can we do now? I survived cancer. I do not want to live in an area of smart meters. Several neighbors commented after the installation via email lists that they are furious at the installation but thought PG&E would notify them in advance of installation and give them a choice to opt out. Why don’t more people know the sneaky ways of PG&E and Wellington. I could have ripped off all the meters in his open truck and run out of town, but I didn’t think of it in time.
